Dr. Zhu leads the lab's research programme into the neuroimmune mechanisms of psychiatric disease, spanning HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders, the neuropsychiatric effects of chronic stress and adolescent cannabis exposure, and the development of novel pharmacological agents for mental health. His work has appeared in Nature Immunology, Nature Communications, and Science Translational Medicine, among others.
